The city is alive because all the students finish the examinations and leaving in the evening, and there are a lot of people in the edge of the Arno river (also called “Le Spallette“) that looking for some fresh after a log hot day.

The bares put tables in the centrals places and you can enjoy the magic atmosphere of Pisa.

The night beetween 16th - 17th of June there is the most important feast of the year in Pisa: La Luminara.  About 100.000 people are in the street to view this amazing  light show: all the palaces and the bridge near the Arno are illuminated by 70.000 candels set in glasses to exalt the outline of the palaces, the bridges, the churches and the tower reflecting the river.
